At that time I was studying in class seven. I used to live at my grandmother's house in Sirajganj. My father used to send ten or twenty rupees in my name in some months. I would go to the post office in that city to find out if my father had sent money. It would not cost more to stay and eat. Apart from that, Maternal Uncle got married while staying in that house. Maternal uncle's wife  was brought home. I had a lot of sincerity with all of them. But even after him, if he went to school, he would get hungry during tiffin and it would cost money to buy it. At least Twenty Five Paisa of them a day would have been quite a tiffin.

 While he was staying at his maternal uncle's house. One day, after lunch, when everyone was asleep during the day. Just then, realizing the time, Nasir Uddin went for a walk towards the cut canal of the river Jamuna. There is now a bridge over the cut canal which people can recognize as a wooden pool (কাঠের পুল). Coincidentally, the floodwaters began to rise in the river that day. He went to the dock and saw a small dinghy boat floating in the water. And he looked around and saw that there was nobody near or far.

Nasir Uddin came to Dhaka with his friend Md. Delwar Hossain but Nasir Uddin had no place to stay in Dhaka. There was only twenty -one hundred bucks in his hand. Delwar Hossain had already arranged lodging in a house for his won but Nasir Uddin had no place to residing in Dhaka. However, a brother of Delwar Hossain had a Printing press in Bangla bazar, Sadarghat Dhaka. There was a temporary living arrangement has been made for Nasir Uddin. However, the next day, two friends went to Dhaka University in the hope of admission but and found out that the students were admitted here and no further admission will be held this year.

The hardships of the job in Taraganj were somewhat alleviated. The boss saw the handwriting of Nasir Uddin and put him in the position of night guard but allowed him to work in the office table. His handwriting was good and there was no typewriter in the office. So he asked Nasir Uddin to work as a copywriter for writing as many letters in the office.

SM Nasir Uddin successfully passed HSC in 1976. His unquenchable desire was to study accounting with honors but in the meantime he took a job as a night guard at the jute buying center of Crescent Jute Mills Company Limited in Taraganj Jute Purchase Center Rangpur. At that time his monthly salary was only one hundred and sixty five rupees. As his family could not help him financially enough for his studies, he had to be admitted to Saidpur College in B.Com class besides his job. He started doing night shift duty in Taraganj and started attending college during the day. Needless to say, at that time the bus fare from Taraganj to Saidpur was only one taka. At that time there was only one bus service called "Rabeya" from Saidpur to Rangpur and the bus fare was only two rupees.
